Good morning on this First Day of October! Here’s a recap of what’s going on!
Our First Bingo Event was a HUGE success! Thank you to all of those volunteers who helped! We tried something new this year and held the bingo after school. For $5.00, participants received a hot dog and drink, 6 bingo games, a raffle ticket and free door prize ticket. We had approximately 100 people playing bingo! The donations were numerous from our community partners. We will vote at the next meeting to keep bingo after school or go for an evening event! Come to share your voice! Our next scheduled bingo is on Friday, Nov. 13th!
Staff Appreciation Events – Our first Staff Appreciation Event is scheduled for Oct. 15th! “Friday Night Lights” is our theme and we will be serving a BBQ lunch tailgater! Please contact Thyrza Holland at: tntholland4@q.com if you want to get involved! This is a great time to get to know the teachers and staff of Mann and to show them how much you appreciate all they do for your kids!
OCTOBER is Mann’s Month at ITZ’s Family Food and Fun Center located at 3035 New Center Point during October. Your child will bring home coupons. If you go to ITZ’s during October and use these coupons, then Mann will get 10% of the sales. Have fun with your family AND Mann gets the benefit too!
Finally, Mann is hosting a National Day on Writing on Oct. 20th. Students and Parents are asked to get involved. You will see the end of October poems written by students on the sidewalks of Mann. Their talent will be on display for all to see!

Overall, we are off and running on a great year! I look forward to meeting all of you as you get involved in some of these great activities! Mann is such a great place for our kids to thrive, and you are a big part of the wonderful atmosphere here!
